In the rural countryside, Voinika is situated in the South East of Bulgaria between Yambol and the Black Sea coastal town of Bourgas. Near town, mountain, lakes and sea.

The Greek and Turkish borders are approximately an hour and a half away and the airport at Bourgas is approximately one hour from our village.

The famous mountain of Bakajika, a good location for hiking, picnic and bird watching. is within walking distance. We have 2 lakes for fishing and if you are lucky and you know a Bulgarian hunter, you can go hunting too!.

We have a school, a small supermarket, 5 grocery stores, two cafes, one nice small pub, a post office, a theatre, a library and an internet center.

The locals are extremely friendly and helpful! You are always welcome in their houses, they invite you to share their pig, sheep and goat. They give you vegetables, fruits, sirene ( the local cheese), eggs and preserved jars.

And, they have a smile on their face all the time and never forget to say Hi (DRASTI) when they see you walking in the street, even if they don't know you.
